Planned power outage coming to San Ignacio Town tomorrow

By Benjamin Flowers: Belize Electricity Limited has announced to customers in San Ignacio Town that there will be multiple planned power outages scheduled for tomorrow, July 1, 2021.

The first of the outages will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will affect Burns Avenue from West Street to Savannah Street, West Street from Savannah Street to Waight’s Avenue & Savannah Street from San Ignacio Market to La Loma Luz Boulevard.

There will be outages which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. These outages will affect Portion San Ignacio Town which includes portion Wooden Bridge Street behind San Ignacio Market, Branch Mouth Road from Savannah Street to La Loma Luz Boulevard; Morotown: Maya Street from 1st to 5th Street, 5th Street from Maya Street to Teodoso Ochoa Street, 4th Street from Joseph Andrews Drive to Maya Street, 3rd Street from Maya Street to Orange Street, Simpson Street, Blancaneaux Street, 2nd Street, 1st Street; Toucan Street, John Martinez Street from 2nd Street to the back street and Orange Street.

BEL said that the outages are to “install distribution structures to facilitate connection of new customer in the area.”
