Ministry of Health and Wellness: Another life lost to COVID-19

By Benjamin Flowers: Belize has lost yet another patient to COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness reported in its daily update that there has been one new death associated with the virus.

The latest death was a female patient. The national total for deaths now stands at 330 and the country fatality rate stands at 2.47.

The total deaths countrywide have been split between 116 females and 214 males.

The MOHW continues to urge all Belizeans to take their COVID-19 vaccine shots, as they are proven to decrease the chances of contracting the virus, decrease morbidity in the event of infection and reduce the risk of dying from complications relating to the virus.
