By Aaron Humes: Thirty-eight-year-old Jervis Diamond Valencia is stable at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital following a shooting this morning.

Diamond Valencia, of Mayflower Street, was shot in the left side of the jaw around six this morning in an alleyway off Banak Street.

The area is known for gang activity and has an internecine rivalry.

Diamond Valencia was able to identify his attackers, one of whom was subsequently detained. The other is being sought as police investigation continues.
