By BBN Staff: The San Ignacio Police Formation conducted operations today and arrested three people from Duck Run 2 village in two separate incidents, for firearms-related offenses.
Around 5:20 a.m. officers searched the home of 27-year-old Ramiro de la Rosa in Duck Run 2 Village, where they found a brown 16-gauge single-action shotgun with no brand and serial number B969133. Police also found four 16-gauge live cartridges. Present at the time of the search was Merli de la Rosa, 27. Police arrested and charged them both for kept firearm without a gun license and kept ammunition without a gun license.
At 6:12 a.m. officers searched the home of Carlos Perez, 40, also from Duck Run 2, where they found a Mossberg brand 12-gauge pump-action shotgun with a black firearm grip and serial number L199576 along with five brand 12-gauge live cartridges. Police also found a brown shotgun butt which Perez stated was the original shotgun butt and he had replaced it with a black firearm grip. Police charged him for altering a firearm without permission.
