Belize Weather: Sunshine and showers for the weekend

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says relatively moist and unstable conditions will keep the weather mixed over the next 24 hours. Generally, sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight will be joined by a few showers and isolated thunderstorms around the country, but especially in coastal and southern areas.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees inland, and 82 degrees in the hills; tonight, it will be 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 74 degrees inland, and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots; sea state is light chop.

Tides will be low at 12:08 this afternoon and 11:30 tonight, and high at 5:54 this evening.

The sun sets at 6:31 this evening and rises on Sunday morning at 5:22.

Weather trends continue through Sunday but showers are expected to decrease on Sunday night.
