Italy shock highly favored Belgium 2-1, will play Spain in Euro semifinal

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Italian National Team beat Belgium 2-1 in the Euro 2020 quarterfinal on Thursday at the Football Arena Munich in Munich, Germany.

Nicoló Barella hit the game opener for Italy in the 31st minute, before Lorenzo Insigne gave them a comfortable 2-0 lead.

But Belgium, the Number One ranked team in the world, bounced back scoring just before the half ended. Romelu Lukaku gave them hope when he got one back through a penalty kick in the second minute of injury time. It was not to be, however, as time ran out.

Italy will now face Spain in the semifinals on Tuesday at Wembley in London.
