Store owner from Independence Village robbed of his gun

By Benjamin Flowers: A store owner from Independence Village, Stann Creek District, was robbed of his licensed firearm yesterday.

Jin Hua Zhen 45, reported to police that on Sunday around 1:07 p.m. he was in his shop, Nang Fang Store on Knife Fish Street, when two men entered the store.

One of the men walked up to the counter and pulled a gun on him and told him to get on the floor, then relieved him of his black .9mm pistol bearing serial number # B756325. The weapon was loaded with one magazine containing 15 live .9mm rounds.

Police are investigating.
