One of two shooting victims dies after attack on Plues Street

By Aaron Humes: 20-year-old Stefan Bowen of Tigris Street, Belize City, is the latest murder victim after being shot Tuesday night.

Also injured is 19-year-old Sherece Williams of George Street, reputedly the daughter of late gang boss Gerald “Shiny” Tillett.

Police say that just before 8 p.m., Bowen and others were standing at the corner of Plues and Berkeley Streets while Williams was in a yard nearby when the shooter arrived and opened fire.

Williams was hit in the right thigh and is listed in stable condition in the hospital.

Bowen, meanwhile, was hurt twice to the left lower back and once each in the left shoulder and right thigh. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries around 10 p.m.

Police investigations continue into this latest incident.
