Unidentified dead body found in Belize City

By Aaron Humes: A post-mortem examination is to be conducted on the body of an unidentified man found this afternoon in Belize City.

According to police,
CIB Precinct 1 personnel visited an open lot at the corner of Vernon Street and Youth For The Future Drive around 1:45 p.m.

At a distance of about 15 meters from the street side, cops saw the partially decomposed body of an unidentified man lying face up, dressed in a red and white striped long sleeve shirt, a blue jeans pants, and a black tennis shoes.

No signs of physical violence nor injury were observed at the time.

The body was taken to the Medical School morgue on Burrell Boom Road, Belize District, where John Doe lies awaiting a post mortem examination.

Police are investigating.
