By Benjamin Flowers: The latest vaccine daily report issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness shows that almost 100,000 Belizeans have been vaccinated (received their first shot) for COVID-19.

Yesterday, July 7, 2021, a total of 4,232 Belizeans were vaccinated bringing the total number of vaccinated persons up to 99,591.

Meanwhile, 36,578 Belizeans are fully vaccinated. The Ministry’s data includes those who have received the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines.

“Vaccinations are now available for everyone; 18 years and older. Persons who have been vaccinated for at least 8 weeks are asked to visit any Ministry of Health and Wellness’ health facility to get their second dose of the vaccine,” the MOHW said. “We also advise that even after getting vaccinated, persons are to continue wearing a face mask properly in public, maintain consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands often. Please be safe and stay at home unless conducting essential business.”

Vaccine appointments can be made by registering at https://vrsa.health.gov.bz/.
