By Rubén Morales Iglesias: As the world begins to open to tourism, Fodor’s lists 15 countries that people who are fully vaccinated can travel to with having to do a COVID-19 test. And Belize is one of them.
The Fodor’s article says that though countries are relaxing COVID-19 restrictions, and points out that the United States still requires a COVID test for arriving travellers regardless of their vaccination status, some countries like Belize have lifted that requirement.
The article points out that there’s still the requirement of social distancing and wearing a mask.
The article says that Belize is known for its Mayan sites and the Barrier Reef and has opened for fully vaccinated travellers who no longer have to present results of COVID-19 tests upon arrival.
It points out that Belize has no quarantine requirement now and that the US CDC has given Belize Level 1 certification. Level 1 is a warning to Exercise Normal Precautions.
Fodor’s says that Belize requires the use of masks and has curfews countrywide. It advises that travels are free to move around the country but should do so through the “Safe Corridors” using “Gold Standard” hotels and certified transportation.
Other countries in the Fodor’s list include Armenia, the Bahamas, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Morocco, Mexico, Costa Rica, Albania, and the Dominican Republic.
