Belize Weather: Fair weather gives way to increased showers

After a mild day, the National Meteorological Service forecasts an increase in moisture for most of the country.

Skies will be mostly sunny today with isolated showers. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy becoming cloudy at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms developing along the coast and in the south.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 94 degrees inland and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight, it will be 81 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots and gusty; sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft caution is in effect for occasional gusty winds and rough seas.

Tides are high at 8:24 this morning and 10:10 this evening and low at 4:03 this afternoon. Sunset is at 6:31 this evening and sunrise at 5:24 Friday morning.

The extended outlook calls for coastal showers and isolated showers during the daytime on Friday, decreasing later.
