By BBN Staff: This afternoon, police at a vehicle checkpoint on the Philip Goldson Highway found over three kilograms of cocaine on a bus.
Police stopped the bus at Mile 66 in Buena Vista Village, Corozal, and conducted a search where they found a bag behind the driver containing three parcels of cocaine wrapped in black plastic and tapped with transparent tape.
The parcels of cocaine weighed out to 3.40 kilograms.
Nobody claimed the bag, so the drugs were sealed and deposited as found property.
