Minister of Home Affairs announces dates for familiarization tour of police stations

By Benjamin Flowers: Today, the Belize Police Department shared the official schedule for Minister of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries, Kareem Musa’s familiarization tour of police stations across the country.

The tour is set to run from July 12-19 and will feature trips to the Orange Walk, Corozal, Caye Caulker, San Pedro, Dangriga, Hopkins, Placencia, Independence, Punta Gorda, San Ignacio, and Benque Viejo police stations. The Minister will announce dates for the tour of the Belmopan Police station and the stations in Belize City at a later date.

The Minister will be accompanied by the ministry’s Chief Executive Officer, the Commissioner of Police, and other support staff.

Since becoming the Minister of Home Affairs back in November of 2020, Musa has worked closely with police and conducted visits and other trips in collaboration with Commissioner of Police Chester Williams.
