Body found in Georgeville identified as Michael ‘Brown’ Spain

By BBN Staff: Earlier today Breaking Belize News (BBN) reported that the partially decomposed body of a man was found in Georgeville, Cayo district.

The body has been identified as 46 year old Michael Orlando Spain, better known as Brown. Spain was identified by his brother, David ‘Wasy’ McDougal.

In an interview with BBN, McDougal said that he went to visit ‘Brown’, as Spain is affectionately known, in the downstairs of the house where he resided. According to McDougal the door was locked but a window was slightly open and when he looked inside he saw his brother lying motionless on a chair inside the house. McDougal immediately called the police who responded, broke down the door and retrieved Spain’s body.

McDougal told BBN that no visible sign of injury was found on the body and that no foul play is suspected.

The partially decomposed body of Spain was taken to Belize City where a post-mortem will be conducted.
