Ministry of Health and Wellness monitoring 278 active cases of COVID-19 countrywide

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness has reported exactly twice as many recoveries from COVID-19 as new cases in its weekend data.

86 persons were deemed recovered from the virus, with 43 new cases reported.

One new death was also reported, of a female in the Corozal District.

In all, there are 278 active cases of COVID-19 reported, 218 newly under investigation, 8 active hospitalizations, and two persons in intensive care.

The cumulative figures are as follows: 13,561 confirmed cases; 12,934 total recoveries, and 331 deaths.

Of the active cases, 149 are females and 129 are males, while more males (214) have died than females (117).
