By BBN Staff: For the second time in less than a month, the Department of Youth Services (DYS), under the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and E-Governance, announced that its office at 1 Magazine Road, Belize City, will be closing temporarily due to a positive case of COVID-19 detected among staff.

The building closed today for sanitization and will reopen on Monday, July 19.

“A staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The means of exposure is unknown at the moment; however, all other staff has been tested and produced negative results,” the DYS said.

The DYS had closed all its district offices on June 17 due to a reported case of COVID-19, and services resumed the following week without incident.
