By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining held a capacity building workshop for land inspectors from the entire country on Monday and Tuesday, July 12-13.
The workshop held at the Jaguar Lab at the Belmopan Campus of the University of Belize focused on the use of ArcGIS and Satellite Imagery for land inspection,
“This upgrade reinforces the ministry’s commitment to technology advancement in the field of land management,” said a GOB Press Office press release. “Immediately, it results in the direct benefit of timely service delivery and improved customer satisfaction.”
The training was conducted by Alfred Cal, GIS Analyst/Senior Land Information Officer who was assisted by Elam Torres, Land Information Officer.
