San Pedro man shot, airlifted to Belize for treatment

By BBN Staff: A San Pedro man is recovering at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) after being shot lost night.

Police say that Joshua Gongora 25, was riding his bicycle in the DFC area of San Pedro town around 9:30 p.m. when three men approached him.

One of the men pulled out a gun and fired several shots at Gongora, hitting him twice to the body.

He was taken to the San Pedro Polyclinic for treatment but was later airlifted to Belize City.

He remains at the KHMH, listed as being in stable condition.

Police are investigating.
