Commissioner of Police orders investigation into shooting death of minor

By Aaron Humes: Commissioner of Police Chester Williams has ordered that both a Criminal and Internal investigation be conducted into the death of a minor Wednesday night in Placencia, in which police are said to have been involved.

The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Ladie Gillett, a student of Chaa Creek in the Cayo District. He was reportedly shot in the back while evading police shortly after 10 p.m. and died at the scene.
