Deyon Watters wins C-RAY Full Throttle Thursday Cycling Race

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Deyon Watters won the C-RAY Full Throttle Thursday Cycling Race.

Watters was timed a 1 hour, 1 minute, and 20 seconds for the 24.6-mile race riding at a speed of 24.1 miles per hour. Thursday’s race covered one lap on the John Smith Road and then went out to the George Price Highway to the Hattieville roundabout and back for a total of 25 miles.

“Deyon is one of the youths from the C-Ray High School Program,” Kaya Cattouse said. “He has been racing under my wings for a while now and today is his first win in the Elite Category! So, this is a big deal.”

Eric Trapp was second.

Last week’s winner Darien Anderson finished in 3rd position.

Dwayne Wade was 4th and Roque Matus 5th.
