By Benjamin Flowers: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) has reported that more than 40,000 Belizeans have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Ministry’s latest vaccination report shows that a total of 40,748 people are fully vaccinated (received both shots) while 110,433 people have been vaccinated (received only one-shot).
The vaccination count for July 14 was 1,791 people. The Ministry’s data include those who have received both the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines.
The MOHW continues to encourage all Belizeans 18 years and older to get vaccinated and reminds that appointments for vaccination can be made at https://vrsa.health.gov.bz/.
Vaccinated persons are still required by law to wear face masks in public, social distance, and abide by all other regulations in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
