Ana López-Camp dominates Summer in Orange Walk 10 K in 45:25.2

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Splash’s Ana López-Camp of Esperanza won the Summer in Orange Walk 10 K in 45:25.2 on Sunday, 14.1 secs faster than her winning time in the 10K Benque Run on Saturday.

Twenty women signed up for the 10K, according to Total Time’s Ricardo Salazar. The Summer in Orange Walk 10K started at 5:30 am by the Orange Walk Multi-Purpose Complex Building, went around the town and finished at the same spot.

López-Camp was 6th overall as the women ran along with the men.

Westrac’s Roxana Lemus of San Ignacio took the second in 54:38.9.

Marta Novelo of San Roman, Corozal, finished 3rd in 54:40.9 and was first in the 40+ category.

A Runner’s Mind Carmen Castilla of Orange Walk clocked 55:57.4 for 4th place.

Heart & Sole’s Lliani Ordonez of Belize City was 5th in 56:20.0.

8th Evita Peralta – Guerreros – San Felipe – 1:04:21.2

10th Heidi Celiz – San Felipe – San Felipe – 1:09:15.1
