By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Westrac’s Brandon Adolphus won his second 10K race in two days as he outran the competition in the Summer in Orange Walk 10 K in 36:51.0 on Sunday.
On Saturday, Adolphus had won the 10K Benque Run in 36:41.5.
30 of 31 men who registered for the event competed in the Summer in Orange Walk 10K which started at 5:30 am by the Orange Walk Multi-Purpose Complex Building,went around the town and finished at the same spot.
For a second time in a row Adolphus’ teammate Victor Figueroa of San Ignacio was second, this time completing the 10K in 40:55.8.
Wilbert Young of Corozal was 3rd in 43:46.8 being the first 25-29 years of age category.
Runner’s Mind Amir Castilla of Orange Walk ran in fourth position in 43:53.3.
Daniel Cruz of Esperanza finished 5th in 44:42.1.
Just like in the 10K Benque Run, Mynor Cabrejo of San Ignacio took 6th in 46:29.9.
StoneFit Club placed the next two runners. Stanlaus O’Niel of Belize City clocked in 46:38.6 in 7th position while Delton Stone Mariano also from Belize City finished 8th in 47:04.3.
Tyrone Harris of Belize City took 9th position in 47:40.2 and StoneFit’s Edwin Garnett from Belize City got the 10th spot in 47:57.0.
Mr Sas Gym’s Luis August of San Ignacio was 11th and was also the first 40+ runner clocking 48:07.3.
