Woman dies from apparent bee sting reaction

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating the untimely death of a housewife from Frank’s Eddy Village, Cayo District, over the weekend.

Guatemalan-born Evelin Garcia Zuniga was reported to have been lying in a hammock at home Sunday morning around nine when she was attacked and stung by a bee.

Garcia Zuniga was seen gasping for breath and behaving erratically and was taken to Western Regional Hospital, Belmopan, where she was ultimately pronounced dead on arrival.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled.
