COVID-19 Update 1: Active cases near 350

By Aaron Humes: The number of active cases of COVID-19 continues to rise to 349 after the release of daily data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

44 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported countrywide against 27 recoveries, for a daily positivity rate of over 4 percent.

The number of cases under investigation is down to 342, as is the number of active hospitalizations at 6. One person remains in intensive care.

Belize has now had 13,816 total cases and 13,117 recovered. No new deaths were reported, keeping that figure at 332.
