BREAKING: Price of regular gasoline zooms past 11 dollars, diesel approaches 11 dollars

By BBN Staff: The price of regular gasoline will zoom past the 11 dollar mark tonight to join premium which is already above $11.00 while the price of diesel approaches $11.00 as well.

This is according to a release from the Ministry of Finance announcing new pump prices for regular and diesel fuel with effect from Thursday, July 22, 2021.  products will change.

Regular gasoline will increase by 38 cents from $10.99 to $11.37 per gallon while diesel will increase by 6 cents from $10.59 to $10.65 per gallon.

The prices for premium gasoline and kerosene will remain unchanged at $11.64 and $7.62 per gallon, respectively.

The press release notes that the “price changes reflect the current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies”.

According to the release “the Government of Belize is monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers”.
