By Rubén Morales Iglesias: On Day 5 of his national tour of police formations, Minister of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries Kareem Musa visited the Western District towns of San Ignacio-Santa Elena and Benque Viejo del Carmen.
Minister Musa is on a national familiarization tour of the different police stations and police officers.
During his tour of the West on Wednesday, 21 July 2021, Minister Musa was accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer Kevin Arthurs; Commissioner of Police Chester Williams; Western Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police Marlon Allen; COMPOL’s Staff Officer, Superintendent Clement Cacho; President of the Belize Police Department Association, Sergeant Jermaine Hyde & other support staff.
In Cayo, Minister Musa inspected the guard of honour in both Benque and San Ignacio-Santa Elena. Musa and his team also had group meetings with all the police officers and one & one discussions with police officers who requested an audience.
During the visit, the president of BPD Association and personnel from the Ministry of Health made presentations.
Day 6 will take Minister Musa to the Eastern Police Division in Belize City.
