Murder investigation launched after post mortem reveals Corozal man died of blunt force trauma

By BBN Staff: Police have launched a murder investigation into the death of 44-year-old Feliciano Tzul of Xaibe Village, Corozal District, who was found dead on Monday, after his post mortem revealed he died of blunt force trauma.

Thus far, investigations revealed that Tzul was drinking the night before with some friends, and went to the village community center to shelter from rain. He was still intoxicated when the rain had stopped and those with him left him at the community center to recover; however, when they returned to check on him the following day, he was dead.

The post mortem report listed his cause of death as acute lung failure due to multiple blunt force trauma of the chest and abdomen.
