Victim of ‘apparent’ murder in Belmopan identified

By Aaron Humes: Police have identified the dead body found on Saturday morning on Guyana Street, Belmopan as 50 year old Guatemalan Armando Coy Cacao of Bethel Street in Belmopan.

Coy was found with an apparent stab wound to the right side of the neck by officers on patrol around 6:30. The scene was processed by Scenes of Crimes technicians and the body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).

He was last seen alive on Friday evening while riding a bicycle in Maya Mopan subdivision. Observers believe he was intoxicated.

Police investigations continue.
