COVID-19 Update 1: 410 active cases of COVID-19 with 45 newly confirmed

By Aaron Humes: After the two-day explosion released on Wednesday, today’s figures from the Ministry of Health and Wellness are no less worrisome.

45 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed against 38 recovered, bringing the total of active cases to 410. Another 258 are newly under investigation.

Five persons remain hospitalized and no new deaths have been reported.

Nearly 1,200 new tests were conducted and some 173 thousand Belizeans have so far been tested for the virus, approaching half the country’s population.

More than 14,000 total confirmed cases.have now been reported of which 13,349 are recovered and 337 have died.
