Department of Youth Services holds competition for Youth Week 2021 theme

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Department of Youth Services (DYS) is offering a $500 prize for the person who comes up with the theme for Youth Week 2021 which comes up in November.

To that end the Department of Youth Services is holding a competition which closes on August 10.

“As we prepare for this year’s youth week, we want our young people to be a part of it,” said the Department of Youth Services. “We invite youth ages 14-29 to submit a theme they think would be perfect for this year’s youth week and get a chance to win $500.00.”

“In creating a theme, please consider our vision (can be found in the ‘about’ section of our Facebook page) and the experience the pandemic has brought for young people,” said DYS.

Themes should be submitted by email to [email protected] by August 10, 2021.

The winner will be announced on the DYS Facebook page on August 12, International Youth Day.
