By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) has reported 49 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry’s latest daily update shows that the new cases were detected among a sample batch of 996 tests.

Of the new cases, 30 were female and 19 were male.

The daily positivity rate stood at 5.08 while the country’s national total for confirmed cases now stands at 14,163.

There were no new deaths reported in connection with the virus.
