James Bus Line forced off the road by COVID-19

By Aaron Humes: “The Safest Ride Beneath the Southern Skies” has been canceled, at least for the next few days.

James Bus Line reports that several employees have tested positive for COVID-19. To avoid continued community spread, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has ordered James buses off the Road for up to 72 hours.

The Ministry of Health is assisting with testing and the Ministry of Transport with finding alternatives between Belize City, Belmopan, Dangriga, Independence and Punta Gorda where James is officially based.

The company apologizes for the great inconvenience caused.

We understand that as many as six drivers and a terminal worker in Dangriga are among the infected.

Buses are expected to operate at 75 percent capacity by Government order.
