According to Minister of Health and Wellness, Michel Chebat, the new regulations adjust curfew hours countrywide to 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The new regulations adds call center employees and civil aviation workers to the list of “essential” workers and now requires that workers who were not vaccinated by July 31, to present a negative COVID-19 test every two weeks.

Tour operators and tour guides are now required to present their vaccination cards prior to entering any designated protected area or national site. Meanwhile, anyone found in possession of fake vaccination cards will be subject to a fine and imprisonment.

Casinos and other gaming establishments have had their capacity limited to 50 percent are now limited to 50 percent of site capacity.

During his Friday press conference, Chebat said that his ministry would create a new COVID Enforcement Unit, specifically to enforce COVID regulations at businesses.
