By Aaron Humes: It has been a soggy last 24 hours in Punta Gorda Town with more to come, according to PGTV. An estimated 5.2 inched of rain fell on P.G., causing flooding in the Indianville and Magoon areas of town.
Even for a town used to rain, the amount and how it has affected them has been unusual. The entrance to town is flooding, unusual as PGTV claims drainage there is good, but currently clogged up as seen in the picture accompanying this story.
The National Meteorological Service has called for continuing rainfall in the south through Monday.
