Department of Transport makes arrangements for travelers headed to Belmopan and southern Belize in absence of James Bus Line

By BBN Staff: The Department of Transport has made special accommodations for travelers headed to Belmopan and southern Belize this week, after James bus Line, had to temporarily suspend its services.

The Transport Department issued updated schedules today with times for regular and non-stop runs headed to and from Belize City, Belmopan, Dangriga, Placencia, and Punta Gorda.

“The Department of Transport will continue to fulfill its mandate to accommodate commuters across Belize,” the department said.

The department’s intervention became necessary after six members of staff for James Bus Line tested positive for COVID-19. The Ministry of Health and Wellness issued a notice on Sunday, calling on everyone who had used the service between July 28 and August 1, to get tested for the virus.
