By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The United States National Hurricane Center (NHC) is following a new weather system in the far eastern Atlantic, said the Miami Herald.
The NHC said the disturbance has a small chance of development – 10% in the next 48 hours and 105 in the next five days.
According to the NHC, the disturbance could strengthen during the next few days, but the cooler waters it should run into by Thursday could weaken or destroy it.
This disturbance comes right before the peak of the hurricane season which extends from mid-August to mid-October.
The United States National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is expected to update it hurricane season prediction on Wednesday, August 4.
Earlier it had been predicted that the 2021 hurricane season would more active than normal with 13 to 20 storms.
