Patrick Faber breaks bread with political rivals including John Saldivar

By Aaron Humes: United Democratic Party Leader Patrick Faber barely retained that title in the recent recall convention.

On his return from a brief sojourn abroad, he told reporters that he continues to meet with political partners and rivals in the UDP to begin the process of mending the party after the twin shocks of losing central and municipal government and the lessons therefrom.

One of those key lessons is that as Faber repeats, the UDP were repudiated by the people, and so they must be seen to be doing things differently.

One of those Faber has met with is former Belmopan area representative John Saldivar, one of his most vocal critics and briefly party leader. He described these meetings and others as cordial and a step forward for the fractured Opposition.
