By Aaron Humes: Belize City continues to suffer from an outbreak of COVID-19 with 25 new cases tallied by the Ministry of Health and Wellness today.
There is no further breakdown of where these cases might be to avoid privacy issues for patients.
Prominent villages along both major highways in the Belize District are also affected. There are two cases each in Crooked Tree, Ladyville and Sandhill, and one each in Boston, Hattieville and Mahogany Heights.
Elsewhere, no other reporting area had more than two cases.
Orange Walk Town, San Jose Succotz, Placencia, Punta Gorda and San Antonio, Toledo, each reported two cases, and Louisville, Corozal District; Spanish Lookout and Unitedville, Cayo District, and Maya Mopan, Stann Creek District each reported one.
Cumulatively, mainland Belize District has 3,830 cases, Cayo 2,791; Orange Walk 2,743; Corozal, 1,647; Stann Creek, 1,619; Toledo, 1,053; and San Pedro, 699.
