Verdes withdraws invitation to invited guests for tonight’s Concacaf game

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The promotion for the Scotiabank Concacaf League match between Verdes and Costa Rican club Santos de Guápiles at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium on Thursday at 6 pm had said: “No Fans Allowed!”.

Despite that announcement, Verdes had invited VIPs to the match but now they are taking back the invitations.

“The Verdes Football Club regretfully informs you that due to the recent spike in the COVID-19 cases and on advice from the Ministry of Health and by extension CONCACAF the invitation that was extended to VIPs for tonight’s game has been recalled,” said a letter sent by the club.

Verdes said that it apologizes but reminds its invited guests that while they may not be able to attend the game in person, “the match will be televised on both our local channel: The National Channel (CH 10) and Fox sports 1”.
