Another jump in Covid-19 cases for Belize City

By Aaron Humes: Belize City has added another 25 active cases to its total according to today’s data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

Seven cases were seen in Independence Village, Stann Creek; four in San Pedro Town, and three in Punta Gorda Town.

Two cases each were reported in Caye Caulker; Belmopan; Santa Elena Town, Cayo District, and Dangriga Town, Stann Creek District.

One case each was added in Orange Walk Town; San Jose Palmar and San Roman, Orange Walk District; Rancho Dolores, Belize District; Benque Viejo del Carmen Town, Cayo District; Camalote, San Ignacio Town, Spanish Lookout, and Teakettle, all in Cayo District.

The national infection rate stands at 7.92 percent and the recovery rate at 94.4 percent. 291 cases are newly under investigation.
