Fatal road traffic accident on Bullet Tree Road claims one life

By BBN Staff: Last night around 9, a fatal traffic accident on Bullet Tree Road claimed the life of one person.

According to reports, Police visited the scene around 8:50 pm where they saw a grey Wingle pickup on the right-hand side of the road with damages to the front portion of it and about 48 feet, the motionless body of a Hispanic man was seen lying face up with injuries to his head and body.

Police investigation revealed that the driver, Leon Small, 50, was driving his vehicle from San Ignacio Town to Bullet Tree Village and when he was reaching a curve about 1/2 miles from San Ignacio Town, he heard a loud bang. Leon came out of his vehicle and saw the body of a man on the ground bleeding profusely.

Police processed the scene and took the man to the San Ignacio Hospital where the doctors pronounced the victim dead.

The driver of the vehicle is currently detained by authorities while the victim of the road traffic accident is unknown.
