More than 2 thousand Belizeans join vaccination rolls

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that 2,335 Belizeans took their first COVID-19 vaccine doses on Friday. These include both AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines.

The total number of persons with at least one dose of the vaccine is 139,413. Fully Vaccinated persons number 55,143.

Vaccinations are now available for everyone; 18 years and older. Persons who have been vaccinated for at least 8 weeks are asked to visit any Ministry of Health and Wellness health facility to get their second dose of the vaccine.

You are reminded that even after getting vaccinated, persons are to continue wearing a face mask properly in public, maintain consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands often. Please be safe and stay at home unless conducting essential business.
