James Bus Line returns today

By Aaron Humes: James Bus Line has announced that starting today, Sunday, they are back on the road after consultation with the Ministry of Health and Wellness and Department of Transport.

Regular runs from Punta Gorda, James’ base, leave at 5, 6, 8 and 10 a.m. and noon and 2 p.m. (Sunday to Friday), while express runs leave at 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. There is a 6 a.m. run from Independence village running Monday to Saturday.

From Belize City, express runs leave at 5:15 a.m. (Monday to Saturday) and 12:15 p.m. and regular runs from 6:15, 7:15, 8:15 (except Sundays), 9:15, 10:15, 12:15, and 1:45.
There is a 6:30 a.m. express run from Dangriga and regular runs at 10:30 and 12:30, with returns from Belize City at 3:15, 4:15, and 5:15.

Per the Department and Ministry of Health, all passengers must be properly masked; the buses must be carefully sanitized; buses will operate at half capacity and service must be non-stop between Belize City, Belmopan, Dangriga, Independence and Punta Gorda.

More than 20 individuals connected with the company have tested positive for COVID-19 since they were forced off the road a week ago today.
