By BBN Staff: A man from Hopkins Village lost over $5000 in valuables in a burglary this weekend.

Raphael Aleman told police that he arrived home around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, to find that a window on his home was broken and the lock on his main door was also damaged.

Making checks, he found that he had been robbed of household items, clothing, shoes, electronics, a gas tank, cellphones, and other valuables to a total value of $5,065.

Aleman did his own investigation and with the help of his neighbours identified the man suspected of committing the crime, and reported him to the police.

Officers are currently seeking the suspect, whose name is being withheld as he has not been formally charged for any offence.
