COVID-19 deaths now at 340

By BBN Staff: A total of 340 Belizeans have lost their lives to COVID-19 according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The ministry’s daily report, issued today for the period August 7-9 showed that there was one new death associated with the virus.

The latest death also adjusts the national fatality rate to 2.34.

Total deaths associated with the virus were split between 120 females and 220 males.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness continues to urge all Belizeans to get vaccinated against the virus as a part of the national response.
