By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Republic of China (Taiwan) Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration of Belize Eamon Courtenay on Monday, August 9.
According to the Embassy of Republic of China (Taiwan), Ambassador Chien and Minister Courtenay “discussed and exchanged opinions on a number of bilateral and multilateral issues that will serve to further strengthen the diplomatic ties between Taiwan and Belize.”
The Taiwan Embassy said that Minister Courtenay “reaffirmed his unequivocal commitment to the cordial and close bilateral partnership” while Ambassador Chien “reiterated Taiwan’s continuing commitment to work with the MFA to carry out Belize’s foreign policy efficiently, while further reinforcing the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.”
