First ever Youth Lead Innovation Festival in Belize to be held August 12-13

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The first-ever Youth Lead Innovation Festival in Belize is to be held virtually on Thursday and Friday, August 12-13, in observation of the International Youth Day.

The Department of Youth Services said the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth is hosting this fully virtual youth festival from 6:30 am to 9:30 am Belize time on August 12 and 13.

The objective of the Youth Lead Innovation Festival is to showcase “the role of all young people as innovators and solution-makers and the partners that have supported them by celebrating youth-led solutions that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and COVID-19 response and recovery”.

Registration will be open until the event begins.
