By BBN Staff: A man was robbed of over $25,000 in Belize City this afternoon.
Linsbergh Wilfred Diaz, 49, told police he was walking on North front Street, from the main entrance of the Northern Fisherman Cooperative building to the pay office located at the back gate of the compound on North Front Street, taking along a school bag containing $25,500.00, when two men came from behind him.
The men ran up to him and one of them pointed a gun at him while the other took away the school bag, which contained $25,500 in different denominations.
The men then ran off in the direction of Petticoat Alley.
Police are investigating.
